How We Can REALLY Save Money On Food!

**TIP: We discovered a cycle of our local grocery store whereby they rotate the dates of when they put particular products on sale. This is the time to BUY 2-for-1. Use one, save one for later.

**TIP: If we REALLY want to save money on groceries, we need to prepare meals around sale items. Look for a "sale" pattern in your own stores for favorite items, then stock up on them. Non-edible items, too!

**TIP: Cook quantities of main dishes and freeze half for another meal or divide into "TV" dinner containers before freezing, for individual servings.

Did you know you can plant a garden and it may feed you for a full year?

Grow a Home Garden For The Best Fresh Tasty Healthy Food for our FamiliesIt doesn't matter if we have a postage stamp yard or a giant field, we CAN grow edibles. Seeds are fun to grow and having a garden can involve the whole family. Health and exercise - what more could we want?

In low economic times, one must get back to nature (well, sometimes).

The best way to grow a garden is to make it organic from the beginning. Eliminate the chemicals that come from mass produced commercial greenhouses, and we've made a giant step in feeding our families healthier food. However, buying organic vegetables in the grocery stores can be costly.

Speaking from experience, I can attest to the reality of an organic garden. Our backyard garden produced so many LARGE healthy vegetables, our 10-year-old son sold them to the neighbors for his spending money (TRUE).

We discovered on the Internet a wonderful guide to starting your own "MONEY-SAVING' organic method of feeding your family. Click here for $20 off at Henry Fields Seed and Nursery! or buy from Gurney's Seed Catalog and save $20 on Internet specials.

Did you know we can make our own baby food from our home-grown veggies? My children were eating mashed broccoli and cauliflower while still in their infant seats. You won't find it in the grocery jars. And, it's much more nutritional than processed baby food. Just think of the money you'll save by making your own baby food at home from fresh vegetables you've grown yourself.

It takes repetition of 6 times to get a baby to accept a new taste. Give them fresh!

Children don't always like to eat what's best for them; but starting them out with good nutrition and fresh fruit and vegetables will often decide how they eat for the rest of their lives.
